Singapore Diagnostics is working as the clinical research partner of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in its study of pulmonary tuberculosis.
Things are in full swing for Singapore Diagnostics (SGD) as it continues in its journey towards providing Filipinos with excellent healthcare services. The laboratory was recently awarded the contract to handle the clinical research for a study on Pulmonary Tuberculosis (PTB) by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). This is a proud moment for SGD, as the BMGF’s selection is a testament to the organization’s skills and expertise in the field of clinical research.
A subsidiary of Pathology Asia Holdings of Singapore, this nod by the BMGF is not the first feather in SGD’s hat. It currently has several ongoing projects in partnership with various pharmaceutical companies and medical facilities worldwide, including an HIV study with John Hopkins and pSmile in the US; an oncology study with British pharmaceutical AstraZeneca; and a COVID study with Mirxes of Singapore.
SGD is also the trusted lab partner of Maxicare’s Primary Care Clinics; this is because of the organization’s drive to provide top-shelf healthcare and diagnostics to its clients and partners, a feat it has recently been recognized for when it was hailed as the Diagnostics Provider of the Year in the Healthcare Asia Awards last March 29, 2023.
SGD also recently expanded its reach by setting up 40 sites throughout the country, including an upcoming state-of-the-art laboratory in Metro Manila. This is in line with its drive to provide quality diagnostic services at an affordable rate to Filipinos throughout the country. It is also collaborating with partner hospitals and laboratories in lab work and staff training.
However, this is only the beginning for the organization. SGD aims to continue expanding its footprint and reach in order to provide superb yet affordable medical diagnostic services to Filipinos of every walk of life.
