Maxicare is a proud supporter of this year’s COPA Concert, a combined thanksgiving celebration and charity event by the St. James the Great Church of the Poor Apostolate in Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa. This year’s event, entitled “COPA @ 25: Blessed and Grateful”, will be held at the Sylvia P. Lina Theater, De La Salle Zobel, on October 14, 2023, at 7:45 pm.
This is the first COPA Concert to be held in three years since the COVID-19 pandemic, and guests will be able to enjoy a night of music and celebration courtesy of National Artist Ryan Cayabyab, the Ryan Cayabyab Singers, and the Manila Symphony Orchestra.
The COPA is a non-profit organization that has four main outreach programs. The Adopt-a-Parish Program, for example, supports 250 parishes in need. It also extends financial assistance to over 600 parishes nationwide. Meanwhile, its Social Action Ministry partners with institutions in Muntinlupa to help the poor and disadvantaged, including Elsie Gaches Village, Marillac Hills, Haven for Children, the Tunasan City Jail, SOS Children’s Village, and Casa Miani.
It also has an emergency assistance program that responds to calamity victims all over the country, in cooperation with partner dioceses. Lastly, COPA also provides scholarships in its adopted Southville/San Pedro Calungsod Parish community.
The organization has been able to do this for the past twenty-five years thanks to the generosity of its benefactors and donors, and Maxicare takes great pride in supporting the resumption of this yearly tradition.
